Halewood Country Fair

Halewood Arts Association had a great day out running workshops with the local community.

Very excitingly we shared a marquee with Reefs Reptiles. I had a chance to stroke a very long snake, we also saw chameleons and a skunk!

The day was hot and people were arriving having heard the sound of music, the commentary about the Rescue Dogs, and the noise and cheer from The Falcon Show.

We produced loads of marrottes and bogarts using natural materials. We got to experiment with cloves, dock seeds, rose petals, sunflowers seeds and other items we had foraged.

All age ranges got involved and there was a real variety of work created. Some models were very realistic, and others took the mischevious theme to heart and created bizarre, funny and scary creatures.

It was lovely to see so many people walk around the show carrying their creations. It was a wonderful day!

The final outcomes were very aromatic and visually stunning. What do you think of some of the work produced?

Carole.
