HALLOWEEN LANTERN DECORATING

The Junior Artists decorated their lantern frames this week that they made with Becky Bryson last week.

Plenty of sticky tissue paper and glue !

The artists layered the willow frames with white tissue paper and then designed decorations to stick on them out of coloured tissue paper, then put another layer of white tissue paper and hung them up to dry.

We are struggling along without our usual leader at present. Best wishes to Sam and  hope you recover soon, we all miss your expert tuition on painting and drawing. Also hugs to his wife Val, keep strong.

Model Making Demonstration 22.9.14 by Adam

MODEL MAKING DEMONSTRATION BY ADAM

Adam this week gave the Junior Artists a  model making demonstration this week.   He brought along a model he is currently working on at home and explained to everyone how he has made it.

Adam demonstrated how he puts wire inside his models which are called armatures to enable the completed models to have movement which is especially good when the models are being used for animation purposes.

The model Adam demonstrated with is Rocky from the movie "Chicken Run".

Carole then asked the children to design and draw a character of their own.

Below you can see Carole discussing one of the character's that has been drawn/designed.

Hopefully in the near future all the Junior Artists will able to have a go a making model of their own.
