Blooming Great Tea Party

This week we attended The Blooming Great Tea Party over at Schmooze. Our volunteer exhibition and event coordinator, Sophie, was involved in the styling of the event, with her company Strange Case Collective and of course we all went along to support not only one of our own, but such an incredible cause.

The event was organised by Lauras Little Bakery and Pauline Coxy and all proceeds went straight to Marie Curie. We have just found out from Sophie that the overall total raised is an absolutely incredible £5123!

It was a lovely afternoon filled with beautiful cakes, sandwiches and scones. With wonderful entertainment and even a magician who blew the minds of all of us. The raffle was great to and our own Carole won a prize!

What do you think of the photos?

Also, here at Halewood Arts Association we are looking for a Junior Artists Club Workshop Assistant

Do you like art? Are you interested in the environment, ecology or nature? Do you have two hours to spare?
If you can answer yes to these questions then volunteering as a Junior Artists Club workshop assistant could be for you. We need help with the general running of the workshops, accompanying children on trips, distributing refreshments and putting up displays of children's work. The club takes place every Wednesday and is from 3:45 - 5:45. This role is from September onwards

Reasonable travel expenses covered for both roles.
One of our regular volunteers Sophie has this to say about working within Halewood Arts Association

"I have been an active volunteer within Halewood Arts Association for a year now. I assist in the office, organising events and assisting the Junior Artists Club every Wednesday. I thoroughly enjoy it here and the skills I have learnt and the people I have met have improved my CV so much and the opportunitys that have came up from this are invaluable"

Would you be interested in helping? Or do you know anyone else who may?

Please contact Carole or Sophie at The Environment Centre, Okell Drive, Halewood. Or email halewoodarts@gmail.com
